To see more and more people encountered by Christ and empowered for God’s purposes.

We are called through the Gospel to let God lead, be a loving community, and to pass on the faith.

Our history

Faith Lutheran Church of Chico was organized under Pastor E. A. Haye on October 23rd, 1950 and the cornerstone of the original building was laid in 1952.  Since then, Faith Lutheran has seen many changes, including the construction of a beautiful modern Sanctuary and Parish Hall.

In 1989 Faith Lutheran experienced a renewal in its facilities and its mission in Chico.  We are a church of inclusion that embraces the reality of God's grace for all people.  Everyone who seeks a better relationship with Jesus is welcome.

The church also serves as a vibrant and active member of the Chico community in many ways, from helping different community groups to feeding the homeless from our kitchen as well as serving as an active participant in the Chico Area Interfaith Council.  Faith Lutheran looks forward to being an open and accepting place for all to worship God and serve his people.
