It is an ancient and noble tradition of Chico to float down the Sacramento River in an inner-tube while chatting with your friends and rejoicing in the goodness of God's creation. After worship on Sunday, August 14th, we invite you to do just that!

We'll carpool from Faith Lutheran at 11am and launch from the Irvine Finch Boat Ramp near Hamilton City about 11:30am. We will float for about an hour and a half to Scotty's Landing, where we will have the option to have lunch. We will be led by Karen Ely, a whitewater rafting guide, who has floated this section of the river already this year and who will do so again the day prior to scout for hazards. Please RSVP to the church office by Wednesday, August 10th and let us know if you need an innertube provided.  Please bring a swimsuit, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. We encourage those who do not want to float to join us at Scotty's Landing at 1pm for fellowship.
