Safe Space Winter Shelter will be returning to Faith Lutheran on January 29th, and will be held here until February 11th. If you have a group that usually meets in the fellowship hall or sanctuary during this time, please reach out to our office manager, Michael, and he will make arrangements to accomodate your group in another room during those 2 weeks.

Safe Space Winter Shelter is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing low-barrier emergency shelter during the coldest winter months for people experiencing homelessness in Chico, California. Folks are given dinner, a place to sleep for the night, and breakfast. Volunteers are always wanted to cook, serve meals, and provide companionship with the guests. You can learn more about volunteering here: https://www.safespacechico.org/

If you or somebody you know would like to stay at the shelter, please go to 2300 Fair Street. You may start lining up at 5pm. Intake begins at 5:30pm daily, and from there, a bus will shuttle folks over to the church currently hosting Safe Space.
