When decorating your home for Christmas, do members of your family eagerly search for the box containing those special figurines depicting Mary and Joseph, shepherds, Wise Men, and, of course, Baby Jesus? Too, while trimming the tree and hanging the garland, does the delightful aroma of baking cookies waft through the house? Well, on Sunday, December 21, we are asking everyone to bring their favorite Nativity Scene as well as their favorite homemade holiday cookies, breads or other treats to be shared during coffee hour. Please bring your items on disposable plates. Creches will be displayed on decorated tables in the Fellowship Hall, and we’re asking that you arrive a bit early and set up your Nativity Scene prior to worship. If there is a story behind your crèche, please type it up and set it in front of your display.
Sharing family creches and homemade cookies was a practice at Faith Lutheran that was observed in the past on the Sunday before Christmas, and we wanted to resume this very fun, delicious tradition. We look forward to seeing everyone’s Nativity Scene and sampling yummy delights. If you have questions, please contact Janine Rush using your directory.
