5 Easter

Each week, we provide questions based on the sermon. These questions are to encourage you to connect the scriptures to your own life and to invite you to grow deeper in your relationships with others at Faith by discussing the questions together.

Readings: ACTS 11:1-18, JOHN 13:31-35

Sermon: In order to glorify God we draw lines around who is permitted at our table, but Jesus glorifies God by drawing lines through every-prerequisite to share his meal.

Questions:

1) Tell a story of someone you never would have expected to be a follower of Jesus, but turned out to be one.

2) In what ways do we as a congregation insist that people adopt our culture to be part of Faith Lutheran? In what ways do you insist that people adopt your culture to be a part of your life?

3) What excuses do you use to claim you aren't fit to be a disciple? Who in scripture does Jesus use to draw a line through those excuses?
