15 Pentecost

Each week, we provide questions based on the sermon. These questions are to encourage you to connect the scriptures to your own life and to invite you to grow deeper in your relationships with others at Faith by discussing the questions together.

Readings: LUKE 16:1-15, JEREMIAH 8:18--9:1

Sermon: We drag people through the mud to gain more of what we can't even keep; but Christ gives us all of God's riches so that we can raise each other up and make friends that last for eternity.

Questions:

1) When have you demanded "payback" from someone? What did you gain from that payback? What did you lose?
2) When has someone paid off a debt for you? Was it a financial debt or a relational debt? Why did they do it? How did it change your life?
3) Who do you know who is struggling under the weight of shame for a sin already addressed? How can you help that person know that Christ forgives and loves them?
