20 Pentecost

Each week, we provide questions based on the sermon. These questions are to encourage you to connect the scriptures to your own life and to invite you to grow deeper in your relationships with others at Faith by discussing the questions together.

Readings: Joel 2:23-32, Luke 18:9-14

Sermon: We are tempted to use other people as a barometer of our worthiness to God. But there is good news in the forecast – that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Questions:

1) When have you been tempted to determine your own worth by comparing yourself to someone else?
2) When have you felt confident in your own worth? What gave you that confidence?
3) How can you give encouragement to others who may stick out as different to help them know their worth in Christ?
