8th Sunday after Pentecost

"We hold onto the gift instead of the giver and get only loneliness; God, the giver of every good gift, holds onto us until we have life abundant." (Colossians 3:1-11; Luke 12:13-21)

As you listen to the sermon, here are some questions you can reflect on to deepen your spiritual connection with God:

1) What is something of which you've held onto more than you can use? Why did you keep it?

2)  When has someone wanted what you could give them, but not you? What did that do to your relationship? How does trusting God's gifts but not trusting God compare?

3) When has someone given you a gift that you didn't deserve?
