CHICO STATE’S BLACK STUDENT UNION is a student run organization dedicated to the establishment of a constructive voice for African American students on the campus of the University and the city of Chico. The Black Student Union focuses on the educational and intellectual advancement of all students, while encouraging cultural awareness, leadership development, knowledge of current issues, and building a robust alliance with the University administration and other black student organizations on campus and in the community at large.
Why It Matters: Our congregation believes that one of the greatest gifts we can share is service to others. Each month, through our Greatest Gift Project, we come together to support a local organization and invite not only our church family, but our entire Chico and Butte County community to participate.
For the month of February, we are honored to partner with Chico State’s Black Student Union (BSU). This project will support BSU students by helping meet practical needs and offering encouragement as they pursue their education and leadership on campus. Your generosity makes a meaningful difference in the lives of local students and helps strengthen our community.
Thank you for sharing your compassion, generosity, and commitment to serving others.
