18 Pentecost

Each week, we provide questions based on the sermon. These questions are to encourage you to connect the scriptures to your own life and to invite you to grow deeper in your relationships with others at Faith by discussing the questions together.

Readings: JEREMIAH 29:1, 4-7, LUKE 17:11-19

Sermon: We hide ourselves in embarrassment at the labels the world gives us, but Jesus calls us clean and tells us to show ourselves to the world.

Questions:

1) When have you moved somewhere that you didn't want to be? In what ways did you hide yourself in that place? In what ways did you show yourself? What were the consequences of hiding or showing yourself?
2) When have you hidden yourself because of shame or embarrassment at a label someone gave you?
3) When has someone helped you believe that you are "clean" and encouraged you to show yourself?
4) How can you help others believe that they are "clean" so that they can show themselves?
