Congratulations Graduates! Celebrating Rosa and Sophie

It’s been a challenging 3 years, however Rosa Nelson, Cyla Nelson's daughter, has triumphed by working those challenges to her advantage and is graduating from St. Mary’s College in Moraga on Saturday May 21st. She will have attained a BA  in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in Environmental Justice. She is currently employed by the non-profit Nuestra Casa in East Palo Alto. She plans to work for a year and then apply to graduate school. 

Sophie McDermott Pappani, daughter of Kathleen Pappani and Martha McDermott, is graduating high school! She will be attending Butte College and hopes to work toward a degree in Zoology.
